Adult Wednesday Night Programs
6:30 pm, February 5-26, Assembly Room

Every five hundred years or so, the Christian faith has undergone an upheaval in which the familiar ways of doing God’s work have changed. Only three years remain until the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s defiant act of nailing 95 Theses on the Wittenburg church door, and observers are just awakening to the realization that we are in a period not unlike the Protestant Reformation.

Will the Church survive? What will it look like when this new reformation ends? Who, what is the Church supposed to believe and do? How do we remain true to the Church’s founder(s)?

One way to address these questions is to take a fresh look at what the Bible says about the Church. On Wednesday evenings in February, the pastor will review:

  • February 5: A Vision for a Living Church
  • February 12: New Testament Images of the Church
  • February 19: The Church’s Ministry to Human Need
  • February 26: Treasure in Earthen Vessels—The Church as a Human Institution

Coming up on Wednesday, March 5:

  • Ash Wednesday Service, 6:30 p.m., Sanctuary
