Today’s Scripture: Mark 8:27-29

29He asked them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Peter answered him, ‘You are the Messiah.’

While walking with his disciples, Jesus turned to them and asked, “Who do people say that I am?” Their answers were wrong. Only Peter got it right: “You are the Messiah.”

Of course, the all-knowing Christ knew what people were thinking and saying.  He did not need to ask.

The really important questions are:
How do we see Jesus?
What do we think about him?
How do we relate to him?
What do we tell others about the One who is our Savior and Lord?

There are many names by which we worship Jesus Christ:
The Savior
The Way
The Truth
The Light of the World
The Good Shepherd
The Living Water
The Bread of Life
The Anointed One
The Righteous One
The Master
The Healer
The Teacher
The Suffering Servant
The Lamb of God
The Head of the Church
The Resurrection and the Life
The Alpha and the Omega

“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult and give God the glory . . .”

Prayer: Lord, I offer up all that I treasure, and all that is good in my life, that it may praise you and be used for your glory. Amen.
