Rob served as Baptist Collegiate Minister (Baptist Student Union) with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board for 41 years, 39 of which were at ODU and other Norfolk-area colleges. He graduated from the University of Tennessee and received his M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rob and his wife, Bettina, moved to Richmond in 2009 and joined River Road in 2011.
