River Roadsters’ Trip
U.S. Army Band Holiday Concert
Constitution Hall, Washington DC
Saturday, December 1
Since 19222, The U.S. Army Band’s Pershing’s Own has maintained a tradition of excellence as once of the premier musical organizations of The United States Army. It was founded in 1922 by Army Chief of Staff General John J. “Black Jack” Pershing. Pershing established the band to emulate European military bands he heard during World War I. Its mission survives to this day and continues to play an important role in events in our Nation’s Capital, the band has performed with honor and grace for more than 85 years. Today’s performance is a joyous holiday concert at Washington’s DAR Constitution Hall. So don’t miss this very special Holiday Concert performed by the U.S. Army Band, Pershing’s Own and wonderful singers of the Army Chorus! This concert is perhaps the very best entertainment you will find in Washington during the holidays. Plated lunch included before the 3:00 p.m. show at Gordon Biersch Restaurant – plus a visit to the White House Visitor Center for an opportunity to purchase the 2012 White House Ornament.
