On October 19, we welcomed Stan Barnett to the River Road kitchen!

Stan is a Richmond native and a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He has been catering for over 40 years. In 1989 he opened The Hill Cafe for a very diverse and welcoming community, and after 11 years of service is the former Director of Kitchen Ministries for St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

His one daughter and two grandsons live in Park City, Utah. He and his partner of 32 years live in downtown Richmond and spend much of their time traveling and visiting their Outer Banks beach home.

Please note that the menu options are set and meals are served as delivered by the caterer. If you have dietary restrictions, you may choose not to be plated with certain items as food is served. You are always welcome to bring your own meal and enjoy table fellowship with us.

Baptist Pilgrimage: How do we live from our heritage? led by Rev. Dr. Bert Browning and Rev. Dr. Bill Tuck
6:45-7:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall

For many religious traditions, the experience of pilgrimage holds great significance. Pilgrimage involves not only a physical journey to a destination, but also a spiritual journey within oneself. As Christians, we engage in an ongoing journey of faith development that calls us toward becoming more Christlike every day. We each embark on our own Christian pilgrimage, but we do not walk alone. We follow in the footsteps of the saints who have gone before us, are kept company by the pilgrims who travel with us, even as we pave the way for those who come behind us.
