Adult Wednesday Night Program
Wednesday, February 22, 2017
6:30 p.m., Assembly Room

The Richmond Family and Fatherhood Initiative (RFFI) works with mothers and fathers, in Richmond City and surrounding counties, to teach cooperative parenting. The goal of the program is for parent to raise their children in a healthy and stable way.  RFFI has adopted evidence-based curricula to address Motherhood Support, Fatherhood Support, and transitioning from boyhood to manhood.   We use our curricula to empower fathers and mother to improve the wellbeing of their children.  RFFI also engages community and faith-based partners to build support for parents that foster positive child outcomes.

Chandra Washington-Peyton works as the Special Projects Administrator and Motherhood Coordinator for RFFI at the Richmond City Health District.  She is a former Richmond Public Schools mathematics teacher and has her Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotions.   In her position she works daily to strengthen the roles of mother and father in order to improve health outcomes for children.  She loves children and has a deep understanding for how their parent’s choices impact them and their growth into productive citizens.  Mrs. Washington-Peyton is the mother of two wonderful boys and a newlywed; please keep her in your prayers.

Dinners this year are being prepared by Annabell’s Catering. The owners and chefs are brothers Seldon and Moe Plumley. Both have extensive food service and customer service backgrounds. We are excited to welcome them to River Road Church! Seldon has experience as a general manager at Virginia restaurants and country clubs, where his responsibilities included hiring and training food service staff, menu development, and managing food service budgets. Moe’s experience includes managing and cooking at local restaurants as well. Currently, both Seldon and Moe are pursuing catering events, including those at RRCB. If you are interested in having Annabell’s Catering prepare food for your event, contact the church office, or come to Wednesday Night Dinner and introduce yourself!
