Twice a year the preschools holds a Family Night, which offers music, activities, and often special events. These special evenings give families an opportunity to spend time with their entire family and get to know other families in the school. These wildly popular nights bring a level of excitement that energizes our children and families.

Last March the preschool held its first ever Family Night STEAM Night! What is STEAM? STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math as access points for guiding student learning, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage learning, and embrace problem solving and collaboration. The goal is to create leaders of the 21st century.

During the preschool’s STEAM night the children and families were welcomed into different classrooms, each with their own activates which play a part in the STEAM program. The use of this teaching philosophy is not just used for special occasions, but is used daily in our classrooms. Our children work hard to become creative problem solvers in their classrooms, and will take these skills on their adventures into the elementary schools.
