Sponsored by the Board of Missions and Board of Christian Education & Spiritual Formation, the focus of this Sunday School Ingathering will be on River Road Church’s prison ministry and will feature three speakers: Barbara Slayden, Executive Director of OAR of Richmond, an organization providing support and training to men and women newly released from incarceration; Casey Torrence, Director of All God’s Children Camps, which provides summer camp experiences to children of incarcerated parents; and Kenneth Davis, a former inmate of the State Penitentiary with an inspiring personal story who participates in River Road’s visits to the Reception and Diagnostic Center in Bon Air. Come and learn how our ministries are making a difference in the lives of incarcerated persons and their families and perhaps even be inspired to be part of this important work in the future.
