A Women’s Retreat

Eagle Eyrie, Lynchburg, VA
All adult women are invited to join us for a weekend in the mountains at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center. Our time will be spent in conversation, study, fellowship, and more as we talk about the significance of Pilgrimage – our own and each other’s, as God journeys with us and participates in our lives. Rev. Courtney Mills Jones Willis will lead the retreat and through scripture invite us into conversation, asking “Where you have been, where are you now, and where are you heading?”
Expect an interactive weekend of learning and growth together, along with fun! We will begin between 7 and 8 p.m. at Eagle Eyrie on Friday, February 17. You can expect to be home by early afternoon, Sunday, February 19.
Double occupancy, $175 per person covers program leadership, supplies, 4 meals (Saturday breakfast – Sunday breakfast) and housing. If you would like a single occupancy room, the cost is $209 per person.
The registration and payment deadline is February 2, 2023. More information can be found below (scroll down).
UPDATE 1/9/23: Housing will be in hotel-style near the entrance of Eagle Eyrie. All meals will be in the cafeteria at Eagle Eyrie which is able to accommodate allergies.
UPDATE 1/23/23: Folks who would like to carpool, we have a spot for you! Just indicate in your registration that you’d like to carpool and we will connect you with another woman who is willing to drive.

A word about our retreat leader:
Rev. Courtney Willis is the Associate Pastor of Formation and Care at First Baptist Church, Greensboro, North Carolina.
A graduate of Elon University and Princeton Theological Seminary, Courtney has served in several churches and worked for Passport, Inc. before landing at First Baptist, where she has been for the last 6 years. She is currently seeking certification as a Spiritual Director from the Haden Institute. As a pastor, she aspires to bring folks to embrace holy tears and holy laughter. She loves teaching, preaching, and inviting people of all ages to share their stories with one another. She believes in vulnerability, honesty and intentionality of living and of faith as we all see to know that we are God’s beloved. Courtney lives in Greensboro with her husband, Stephen and their 13 year old son, Berkley. Together they love to travel, hike and seek adventure. When she is not at church or with her family, Courtney can be found reading, practicing yoga, on her Peloton, or singing along to Broadway showtunes.

The total cost for the whole retreat is $175/person. You can pay by check, cash, or online via debit card, credit card, or EFT/ACH. The registration and payment deadline is February 2, 2023.
