River Roadsters Trip
Wednesday, May 21
Winchester, VA
Patsy Cline is Winchester’s most globally recognized personalities. Though she lived only 30 years, Patsy spent most of her life in the Shanandoah Valley.
Your tour today includes a step on guide that will take you on a Patsy Cline riding tour to see where she lived, worked, and is buried. Enjoy a delicious fried chicken lunch at a local favorite, Granny’s Public House. In Patsy’s day it was considered a “Honky Tonk” bar called Daisy and Reds that Patsy loved to go to after performing in Washington with Jimmy Dean.
Visit the Patsy Cline Historic House where Patsy lived from 1948-53. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register and serves as a proud testament to Patsy’s love of family. The house, furnished with some personal items, appears as when Patsy and her family lived there.
A visit to a local Farm Market and Bakery is also included.
