Maundy Thursday Supper & Service
Holy Week
Thursday, April 6, 2023
6:00-7:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall

On Maundy Thursday, the night when Jesus gave us the Mandatum Novum (the new commandment that we love one another) and instituted the Last Supper or the Lord’s Supper, we will share a meal in the Fellowship Hall and share a brief worship around the table culminating in communion.

Even though supper reservations are closed, you are more than welcome to still join us for the service and bring your own meal. Alternatively, if you would like to attend worship only, you can join us at 6:45 p.m. If you plan to attend, and do not have a supper reservation, please call the church office and let us know so we can have seating for all.

Supper

Entrée: Chicken Marsala OR Portabella Mushroom Marsala (V)

Sides: Caesar Salad (V, GF); Rosemary Roasted Potatoes (V, GF); Steamed Broccoli (V, GF); Hot Yeast Rolls (V); Strawberry Shortcake (V)

Kids Entrée: Chicken Tenders

V = Vegetarian, GF = Gluten Free

Cost:

  • Adults/Youth: $10
  • Kids: $6
  • Household Max: $32
  • Household is defined as persons living together at the same address

Reservations are required; extra meals will not be available. If you have not already, please make your reservation, or cancelation, by 11AM on Monday, April 3. You may do so by filling out the form below or contacting the church office. When you make your reservation, please specify the meals you’d like for your family.

Welcome Stan Barnett to the River Road kitchen!

Stan is a Richmond native and a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. He has been catering for over 40 years. In 1989 he opened The Hill Cafe for a very diverse and welcoming community, and after 11 years of service is the former Director of Kitchen Ministries for St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

His one daughter and two grandsons live in Park City, Utah. He and his partner of 32 years live in downtown Richmond and spend much of their time traveling and visiting their Outer Banks beach home.

Please note that the menu options are set and meals are served as delivered by the caterer. If you have dietary restrictions, you may choose not to be plated with certain items as food is served. You are always welcome to bring your own meal and enjoy table fellowship with us.
