Meditations

Each week via email you will receive a short video clip created by a fellow River Roader, providing opportunity to focus on seemingly ordinary physical objects in Christ’s life and how they impact us.

These meditations will be shaped from readings in Lent in Plain Sight by Jill Duffield. You may get your own copy and read chapters weekly as you hear insights from others. (See Amazon or your preferred bookstore.)

The VaLENTine’s Day Drive-Thru is Rescheduled

Churchwide VaLENTine’s Drive-Thru

4:30-5:30 p.m., North Parking Lot

Come drive-thru the North Parking Lot on Valentine’s Day. Ministers will be on hand to pass out information and goodies regarding Valentine’s Day; Shrove Tuesday, including pancake mix; Ash Wednesday; and Lent for the entire family.

Our missions collection will support the WMU Connectors and their ministry partner, The Doorways. The Doorways which seeks to provide housing and support for patients and their loved ones who need to be close to hospital during a patients care and treatment. An entrance and exit will be marked off of Ridge Road. Please be sure to stay in your car for the duration of the drive-thru, and wear masks while in the car greeting ministers.

Ash Wednesday

Worship that sets off a season. The service will be available beginning at 12 p.m. on rrcb.org/live.

To Use Ashes

Make a small amount of ashes by burning a piece of paper over a glass bowl. After you light it, allow it to burn in part and then place it in the bowl. When it goes out, allow it to cool. Use the ashes that result as your ashes during the service.

To Use Paper and Marker

Have a small clean page or notecard and a black/ brown marker available during the service.
