Wednesday, March 26
6:30 p.m., Assembly Room
led by Dr. Ellis West

Dr. Ellis West will explain and critique Senate Bill 236, which has been put forth to protect the religious expression of students in our public schools. The bill was approved by both the Senate and House of Delegates before the General Assembly adjourned, but Gov. McAuliffe has promised to veto it.

Ellis is a member of our church, and Emeritus Professor of Political Science from the University of Richmond. His research focuses on the meaning of the religion clauses of the First Amendment, as they were originally understood and as they have been interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Visitors: The Assembly Room is located off of the Lower Commons which is most easily accessed by parking in the larger north parking lot and entering the church building through the triple set of doors marked by the tall columns.
