Yesterday we arrived safely (thanks to driver Buddy Sumner!) at PASSPORTkids 2019 for what promises to be a fun-filled week at camp. We were able to bring 11 River Road kids and 4 adults (Sandy Rooney, Susan Halloran, Buddy Sumner, Daniel Glaze).
Despite some rainy weather, our hearts and attitudes remain sunny as we experience God’s love and the love of one another here at Passport. The theme of the week is FEARLESS: Stay awake, stand firm in your faith, be brave, be strong. Everything should be done in love (1 Corinthians 16:13-14).
Through Bible studies, worship, devotion time, and conversations together, our kids are learning to keep their eyes open to what God is doing all around us and to be strong and brave when the call of God comes to us.
May I ask you to pray for our group? Please pray for safety while we’re away, for quality time spent with God, that our church relationships would be strengthened by the camp experience, and for our group chaperones as we seek to guide faith conversations among our sweet kids.
Thank you, River Road Church, for being a church that values the spirituality and growth of children. Thank you for investing in them—it makes a difference! You would be so proud of this group.
We look forward to sharing more when we return!
