Good Friday Virtual Service of Worship
Friday, April 2, 2021
Available at 12:00 p.m. on rrcb.org/live
During Holy Week, River Road Church is offering a thoughtful, virtual worship service on Good Friday. The service will be available beginning at 12:00 p.m., on rrcb.org/live so each person or family can participate at a time that is best for them. During this service you will offer prayers, share in responsive reading, hear scripture, including the telling of Christ’s trial, crucifixion, and death. While it can be more challenging and difficult to show up to this service, much like a funeral, it is such an important experience. For after participating in this dark time, acknowledging God’s great display of love and its’ cost, it makes the Easter resurrection celebration so much more meaningful.
If you have participated in our previous Maundy Thursday services, you know what the nature of this service will be. If you have not experienced a worship service giving attention to the events of that day, this is an opportunity for you to do so. It is the hope and prayer of your ministers that this will be a thoughtful and important piece of your journey through Holy Week. God bless you.
