There are many ways to support the life of a church. Through monetary gifts, time, and talents, individuals are able to support their church family. Scott and I have involved ourselves at River Road for many reasons. We enjoy the fellowship of friends, helping others through mission projects, and supporting our children while they grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.
Like any other organization, a church needs their members to support and participate in their programs. Scott and I have received so much more from River Road than what we have given. Our children enjoy Sunday School, choir, and youth programs, and missions. They witness God in fellow members through mission tours and VBS.
We have developed lifelong relationships with members that go beyond just acquaintances. We have experienced God’s love through the making and delivering of meals when our children were born, support and care at deaths of family members, and guidance and support while raising our children. We have enjoyed fellowship with church softball, women’s bible study, Sunday School socials, and missions projects, like CARITAS.
So why do WE give our time, talents and gifts… this is our home and family. It is the place that we experience God in worship and with fellowship of others.

This series is designed to give RRCB members an opportunity to reflect upon their own generosity to God. In reading their stories, we pray that your own life of generosity is encouraged and challenged as well.
