The BGAV and their Virginia Baptist Disaster Response team are already helping the community in Western Virginia and West Virginia, and so can you. The BGAV offers three ways to help: give, fill a flood bucket, and volunteer.

Give:

You may give by sending a check made out to RRCB and it must be marked “WVA Relief” in the memo line. (Any undesignated checks will be added to your pledge.) You may make donations onlineselect “Disaster Relief” for the fund and put “WVA Relief” as the memo. [General instructions for online giving are available.]

Fill a Flood Bucket:

These buckets contain supplies to help homeowners who would like to clean up their own homes and provides an opportunity to also serve them as they clean up. Click here for more information, a Home Depot shopping list, and BGAV drop off locations.

Volunteer:

As recovery operations continue, the BGAV will fill teams in the coming weeks until the work is completed. Please fill out the BGAV form to indicate your interest, availability, and your disaster response training status (trained current or expired, or untrained), and they will follow up with more information as they fill these teams and respond to requests from their partners.
