Our children did a wonderful job sharing their musical gifts with their church family on May 16. Our children in Cherub and Carol Choirs presented a program of spirituals, which they had been learning about in the spring. They invited the audience to join with them on lyrics they had written themselves on “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.”
Our children in Crusader Choir presented the musical “Once Upon a Parable.” They gave an updated version of Jesus’ stories in the gospels, including the Good Samaritan, the Prodigal Son (in our case daughter) among others. The children showcased both their acting and singing abilities in telling the parables.
Thanks to all the children for their hard work and dedication in coming to choir. Thanks to the parents for getting their children to choir on Wednesday nights. Thanks to Suzanne Spicer for directing “Once Upon a Parable,” and to Bob Gallagher for directing and accompanying the Crusader Choir throughout the year.
Choir registration for 2018-2019 is now open! Visit www.rrcb.org/choirregistration to sign up. I’m excited to hear what music our children will share with us this year. All of our children’s choirs will sing in worship on October 21, 2018.
