First Sunday Food Share—Creating a New Family Tradition!
Sunday, May 6, 2018

River Road Church has a long history of working in many capacities with our three Baptist Centers: Church Hill, Oregon Hill, and South Richmond. We have donated food and other needed items, and we have gone to the centers and provided services and care. On the first Sunday of each month, you are invited to bring a bag of food for the Baptist Centers and place it in one of the green grocery carts in the Upper or Lower Commons. To best serve our centers and their communities, the center directors are requesting smaller-sized products. A suggested shopping list of food can be found here.

Camp Alkulana

Toiletry Collection
Deadline: Wednesday, May 16, 2018
Camp Alkulana is collecting full-size deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to give to their campers this summer. Please bring your donations to the designated bins at the Mission Tables in the Upper and Lower Commons.

River Road River Walk
Saturday, May 26, 2018 (Rain Date: June 2, 2018)
8:00-11:00 a.m., T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Pedestrian Bridge

We will explore together as a church family the James River walkways, including the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial pedestrian bridge. Come and join us for this fun, intergenerational walk with great views of our river and city! Sign up details coming soon. The group will meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. and leave by 8:15 a.m. The walk should be complete no later than 11:00 a.m., so feel free to plan a lunch downtown or head on to other Saturday activities following the walk.
