Watermelon Festival & Summer Celebration
Sunday, August 7, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
You can’t have Thoughtful Faith without a healthy melon. Join us and invite family, friends, and neighbors on Sunday, August 7 as we “water our melons” with fun, food, and fellowship. We will have free watermelon and ice cream bar, food trucks, activities for all ages including Jonathan the Juggler, a balloon artist, and historical tours (we did just celebrate our 70th anniversary!).
Vacation Bible School
August 8-12, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Children learn about the stories of Jesus, God’s unconditional love for all of God’s creation, and what it means to follow Jesus. VBS is truly an intergenerational celebration. Teenagers and adults are needed to provide important growing opportunities for children.

Youth Summer Recreation
More info to come about all these fun opportunities. Other than the first one, they will happen after worship on Sundays. You will need to be present on Sunday morning to get a ticket to ride. These opportunities will be open to rising 6th graders as well.
- Mon. July 4 – Westover Baptist; this is mission tour week. Westover Baptist has a big cookout and then watches fireworks on the front steps.
- Sun. July 24 – Bowling
- Sun. August 14 – Ice Skating & Laser Tag
- Sun. August 28 – End-of-Summer/Back-to-School Pool Party Bash
