Upcoming Events

Watermelon Festival & Summer Celebration
Sunday, August 7, 5:00-8:00 p.m.

You can’t have Thoughtful Faith without a healthy melon. Join us and invite family, friends, and neighbors on Sunday, August 7 for fun, food, and fellowship. We will have free watermelon and ice cream bar, food trucks, activities for all ages including Jonathan the Juggler, a balloon artist, and historical tours (we did just celebrate our 70th anniversary!). Volunteers are also needed to assist throughout the night. Most opportunities only require two volunteers, you can sign up as a couple, parent and youth, or friends who haven’t seen each other much this summer. Additionally, 50 volunteers are needed to provide one cake or one dozen cupcakes by August 5.

Vacation Bible School
August 8-12, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Children learn about the stories of Jesus, God’s unconditional love for all of God’s creation, and what it means to follow Jesus. VBS is truly an intergenerational celebration. Teenagers and adults are needed to provide important growing opportunities for children. Registration is closed, but you can fill out the form online to see if there is still space available in your child’s class.

Mission Footprint 5K & Kids Fun Run
Saturday, September 10
at Trinity United Methodist Church

Registration is now open for the sixth annual Mission Footprint 5K. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by August 22. Additionally, we need 30+ volunteers from RRCB. Youth who would like to participate as a volunteer are more than welcome.

Youth Summer Recreation

More info to come about all these fun opportunities. Other than the first one, they will happen after worship on Sundays. You will need to be present on Sunday morning to get a ticket to ride. These opportunities will be open to rising 6th graders as well.

Missions

School Supply Collection
CrossOver Deadline: August 11
Church Hill Deadline: August 14

We are collecting school supplies and filled backpacks for both the Church Hill Baptist Center and CrossOver Ministry. School backpacks may be purchased and filled with school supplies or school supplies can be purchased separately. Please consider filling a backpack for each organization. Click here for more information and the shopping lists. Also, socks and underwear for children, kindergarten through high school, are being collected.

Choir Registration

Registration for Children’s Choirs, Youth Choir, Children’s Handbell Choir, and Youth Handbell Choir are now open! Please click here to find the choir you would like to register for.
