We are grateful for all of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who illustrated scripture verses for our Advent Devotional series this year. We also thank our teachers, Sharon Seward, Diane Shoemake, and Wendy Graves, for shepherding this project through.
Several children did multiple creations, and thus for some dates we had extra pieces of art. We thought they would make a great bonus devotion for the day after Christmas…or the 2nd day of Christmas…or Boxing Day…whatever your preferred term. As always, click the artwork for a larger image, and hover over the scripture citation to bring up the passage.

Illustrating Christmas Eve Bill*
Artwork by John Hubbard
*Due to a slight miscommunication from teacher to student, John was asked to illustrate “Christmas Eve Bill” which was an unintentional combination of the devotion’s theme, Christmas Eve, and the first name of the devotion writer, Bill Tuck. Given what our artist had to work with, I think he made quite a profound theological statement. ~ Sheryl
