After last summer, I did a lot of thinking about my relationship with God. I had many new experiences, like going on my first mission tour and going to youth Passport for the first time. Passport made me think the most about my relationship with God while I was with some of my best friends. The theme of Passport last year was “Enough.” One of the days that really stuck with me was the day when the theme was “God is Enough.” I feel that this means God will always be with me through good times and bad. One of my favorite verses is Philippians 4:13: “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” God gives me strength when I have a bad week at school or when things happen in our community.
I want to be baptized today so I can strengthen my relationship with God and my church and youth group families. To me, getting baptized is not just a point in my life – it is a stop on my spiritual journey. Being a part of this church means the world to me because I see the face of God in everyone here and I know they will support me. As I get baptized today, I know God will be with me, now and forever.
