We prepare for the pivotal church season of Lent with our Ash Wednesday Service of Worship on February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the season of spiritual renewal leading up to Easter. On Ash Wednesday, we express sorrow for the ways we have not lived into the fullness of our calling, and we recognize our humanity through the receiving of ashes. The service will include the imposition of ashes for those who wish to receive them.
Youth are encouraged to participate. Children age 4 and older will have a separate Ash Wednesday activity. If you need childcare for children 3 and under, please contact sandyrooney@riverroad.church.
This service will not be a livestreamed. Due to Thoughtful Faith Community moving to Sundays, we will not share a meal before the service.
