In 1994, we were new parents of our first child. John Charles was six months old and, without much family in town, we were looking for a loving place for him to spend a few hours each week. River Road Preschool was one of the few places which had a mother’s morning out option for a child that young and was highly recommended by friends with older children. It was a lifesaver. And a wonderful fit for our family.

John moved through the classes and several years later Bayley joined her brother at River Road Preschool. Both children spent their early, formative years under the gentle and instructive guidance of this wonderful group of teachers. They continued as students at the Preschool until they each entered kindergarten.

At the same time we enrolled John in preschool, we were visiting area churches looking for a new church home. Since our experience with the preschool was so positive, it was natural for us to look to at the church. The style of the church suited us well as we brought moderate Baptist and Catholic traditions to our marriage.

River Road Preschool was a wonderful introduction to the church community for our young family. In the many years since those preschool days we have watched our children and their friends grow into thoughtful young men and women.
