First Sunday Food Share – February 10, 2021

The First Sunday Food Share is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 11AM-1PM at the Ridge Road Door.

Volunteers will be at the Ridge Road door (near the Fellowship Hall elevator) from 11AM-1PM collecting food.
Please pull into the North Parking Lot, drive up to the Ridge Road door, and then you will drive up to the Plaza and exit on to River Road.

The food share team is in need of paper shopping bags to help with packing and delivering groceries. The Church Hill Wellness Center is in high need of cans of green beans, peas, and corn; white rice long grain and brown rice; dry, powdered milk; disinfectant spray and wipes; masks; and winter coats for men, women, and children.

River Road Church has a long history of working in many capacities with our three Baptist Centers: Church Hill, Oregon Hill, and South Richmond. We have donated food and other needed items, and we have gone to the centers and provided services and care.

Suggested Shopping List:

  • Paper shopping bags
  • Cans of Vegetables
  • Cans of Fruit
  • Cans of Soup
  • Cans of Meat: small cans of tuna, chicken
  • Cans of Pork and Beans or other Beans
  • Canned Entrées (example: Spaghettios)
  • Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
  • Packages of Powdered Milk
  • Boxes of Cereal
  • Rice
  • Dry Pasta
  • Peanut butter

Church Hill Wellness Center Needs:

Donations for Welborne Community Pantry

We encourage those who would like to continue donating to Welborne UMC food pantry to drop off their specified items directly to Welborne: 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. If more convenient, you may drop off those bags of food on First Sunday Food Share, but please mark those bags with a LARGE W since they have specific food requests for Welborne.
