Hands and Hearts: Nickelsville Mission Trip

Where:
Nickelsville, VA, Scott County
Partnering with Southwest Virginia Partnership, Inc.

When:
June 23-28, 2019, Sunday through Friday. Leaving after worship on Sunday, June 23.

Why do we go?
To serve the needs of others through a Christian perspective.

Who is eligible to attend?
RRCB Adult church members and friends

What we will do:
Nursing home ministry, food pantry organization, painting, light construction, other ministries to be determined based on needs of the ministry and numbers of participants.

Skills necessary to join the trip:
None!  Just a willingness to help those in need. Construction skills are needed for one of the sites we visit.

Accommodations:
We will stay at The Manor, a dormitory style facility with bunk beds. Each room has a half bath. We plan on two adults per room. There are male and female shower rooms on the hall. There is a commercial kitchen, dining room, large gathering room and front porch for our use.

Transportation:
We use personal vehicles and the church truck to transport the team and materials as required.

Food:
We prepare our own food at The Manor. Groceries and supplies will be purchased in Richmond. Meal planning and food preparation will be done by members of the group.

Costs:
$75 trip fee, per person, payable to RRCB.  Please put “Nickelsville” in memo line. The fee covers the cost of lodging.

Requirements:
A willingness to serve and provide love and hope to the people of Nickelsville!
