First Sunday Food Share—Creating a New Family Tradition!

River Road Church has a long history of working in many capacities with our three Baptist Centers: Church Hill, Oregon Hill, and South Richmond. We have donated food and other needed items, and we have gone to the centers and provided services and care. On the first Sunday of each month, you are invited to bring a bag of food for the Baptist Centers and place it in one of the green grocery carts in the Upper or Lower Commons. To best serve our centers and their communities, the center directors are requesting smaller-sized products. A suggested shopping list of food can be found here.

Party on the Plaza

Coming soon to a summer evening near you: food, fun, and fellowship with old friends and new! EVERYONE is invited to the Party on the Plaza for a friends and family night on July 8.

We’ll have food vendors cooking up yummy entrées on the spot, fun and games (even a balloon artist!) for the young at heart, and plenty of seating so you can chat and relax. All of this on the plaza in front of the Sanctuary as we kick off VBS week. Way cool!

There are 14 seats on the bus, please let Marnie know if you would like to ride on the bus. Otherwise, meet us at the food court at 12:30. The bus will arrive back at church at 2:20, or pick up at the mall at 2:00. Bring money for lunch.

King’s Dominion

Rising 6th graders and up are invited! It is $25 per person. The group will leave after church. Chaperones are needed. Sign up at by July 11.
