Dearest RRCB family,
November is now here, and in a few short weeks I will join you as your pastor. To say that I am excited about the journey we have before us is a tremendous understatement!
As we finish up our ministry here in North Carolina, my family and I have surely felt your prayers for us. This goodbye hasn’t been easy, and your prayers, notes, and phone calls have sustained our spirits. Thank you.
November is the time when we naturally turn our thoughts to the blessings we enjoy and our thankfulness to God for all the grace and love in our lives. This year, I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to serve Christ alongside such a faithful and loving family at River Road.
Please continue to pray for our family as we joyfully pray for you.
In love and thanksgiving,
Daniel Glaze
With our new Pastor, I find myself feeling like a young person at Christmas. I feel anxious and uneasy as to what our church will become with new blood. I understand the need for change to entice young families and children into RRC. We came to River Road in 1974 and have enjoyed the formality of the 11:00 a.m. service. As a member of the Chancel Choir for over 42 years gives me great pleasure to participate in and with some of the very best singers and musicians anywhere. At 70, I realize I am on the side of the mountain that is going down into the valley. I trust God has more for me to see and do before I rise to glory! I see a time where Christians will face new challenges in the U.S. Dear God give our new Pastor the wisdom of Solomon and the presence of Paul to lead us into a better Christian life!
