On behalf of many of the neediest children at Oak Grove Elementary School and their families, thank you so much for your overwhelming response to the Micah Initativeʼs request for food donations to help during Spring Break! Our church and Trinity UMC worked together to fill 45 food bags, which we hope eased food needs for the week when children are home and thus not getting the nutritious free breakfasts and lunches they normally eat at school five days a week.

Each bag contained:
- 1 Box of Cereal
- 2 Cans of Soup
- 2 Canned Meals (spaghetti, ravioli etc.)
- 3 Cans of Vegetables
- 1 Can of Fruit
- 1 Jar of Peanut Butter
- 3 Cans of Tuna and/or Chicken
- 1 Jar of Pasta Sauce
- 1 Box of Pasta
- 2 Cans of Baked Beans
- 2 Boxes of Macaroni and Cheese
- 1 Box of Granola Bars.
Your response was so HUGE that we have lots of food left over, and we will add it to our food pantry to dispense through the rest of the year and perhaps even during the summer. Your warm-hearted and wonderful generosity is making possible a very important ministry to the children of our Micah Initiative school.
