In November we sent 52 Thanksgiving Boxes to Oregon Hill Baptist Center for our annual collection.
We also collected a special food offering for our Micah school, Oak Grove Elementary, since their weekly food supplement would not be provided during the Christmas break. We designated the Thanksgiving Offering to Oak Grove as well. You can view a list (below) of items we bought with the over $800 worth of donations from the Thanksgiving Offering.
Here is a list of what we bought with the money from the Thanksgiving Offering:
- 67 cans of meals – Ravioli, Spaghettios etc.
- 73 cans of vegetables
- 20 cans of baked beans
- 60 cans of fruit
- 20 jars of pasta sauce
- 60 boxes of pasta
- 73 cans of soup
- 50 boxes of macaroni and cheese
- 30 boxes of granola bars
- 30 jars of peanut butter
- 120 cans of tuna fish
- 90 individual packs of milk
- 50 boxes of cereal
We filled bags for these families for Christmas Break:
- 27 families of 2-4 people
- 29 families of 5-7 people
- 6 families of 8 or more people
